The career mode is pretty darn challenging and fun. Takes some patience but great for some stress relief.

You have too pay way too much in order to get further in the game but it is fun, graphics are good.

I think this game it’s good but need to make more better like other airplanes are flying at the same time and need more differents airplanes and jets. This game need more details like buttons for the lights of the plane and for the people when they can take off the safe belt, and add the control tower which landing strip you can land your airplane. and the last thing it’s park your airplane in the gates and wait for the people to get off the plane and then wait for the people to board the plane and also expect the gas tank is full.

As someone fascinated with aircrafts and aerodynamics, Extreme Landings has served as a great way to get familiar with what pilots experience in the real world of aviation. The game is fun and I enjoy the realism factor to it (I have read from numerous sources that this game is one of the more realistic flight simulators on the market). That said, I do have a few BUTs regarding this game: -The missions start getting too repetative. I understand that you don’t have TOO much deviation from being a pilot (take off, , but taking off, climbing to 3000ft and landing in 4 minutes… Then doing it in 3:58 seconds, then again in 3:56 gets boring after a while. Perhaps keep the basic elements on the training levels and then present real-life aviation-disaster scenarios to allow aspiring pilots to figure out what to do in such scenarios? -The same failures occur when doing the flight simulator (with failures turned on). Fuel leaks, hydraulic failures, and burst tires get too repetative. Give us more challenges! On top of that, if you divert and safely land your plane, your mission isn’t complete and your plane doesn’t get fixed. You have to take off with a blown engine, bad tires and a hydraulic failure and continue on until you either reach the next airport, or your plane crashes. -You should be able to continue off certain points of the flight paths in the flight simulator, rather than having to do the whole flight (or still wait a long time using the fast-forward option). I know aviation enthusiasts might cringe and say “it’s about the journey,” but some of us don’t want to sit literally for 9 hours flying over the Atlantic (or 4 hours, using the fast forward option). All in all, this game is fun. Just please fix the repetativeness!

Make something please

This game is one of the best flight games I have seen for mac and iPhone. However, the game physics are not incredibly realistic. For example, if you were to be in a real plane, and you pulled up more then 10 degrees on the runway, you would stall and fall back to the ground and explode into millions of bits. In this game, you could tilt up to 50 degrees and still take off safely.This in no means could prepare you for flying a plane. in real life, you would have to take special training to learn how to fly specific planes. Im not saying it is a bad game. The most professional simulator I have seen is Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It is available on Steam for $25.00 for windows. you can also find versions on ebay for cheaper that are slightly more realistic.

When switching views from cabin to over view of the plane the game freezes!!!! Please fix

This game does not work on El Capitan. It freezes my Mac and i must restart it or Quit the game by Cmd-Q shortcut. Please remove this from App Store or update it NOW.

This Simulator is increidible! It works really well with my 13 inch Macbook Pro Retina. Its worth to get the Pro Verson of this flight simulator application. Although, I would like more buildings and also more missions in the game. Also I would want New York and San Francisco etc. to be more realistic. I also want to have more flight controls other than starting the engines and what not. Another thing I would ask for is to have another camra angle for the cabin. It would be a lot nicer to have another camra angle for the cabin. Overall this is a great game and thats why I gave it 5 stars! Good Work so far! Keep it up!

where is the 2.0 update thats been out for the iPhone?????????????

This is definitely not a flight simulator by any practical definition. Its an arcade game and if you like that kind of thing then you may enjoy this. "Advanced engine system...". Really? Where? Test piloting skills? Fly at 300 knots. Deploy gear and full flaps. Nothing. No change in pitch. No change in speed. No flaps or gear doors being torn off the aircraft. Nothing. Im not sure what they think theyre simulating, but its certainly not aerodynamics. The interface has a lot going for it. If they throw out their physics and start actually attempting to simulate real flight then this might be more interesting. But if you enjoy flight simulation, heres part of your life back. Keep browsing the app store. Youre welcome.

I love this game I play it every day but i have a few suggestions. One, show air traffic on the rader and have ATC communications. Not too much, just have clearance for take off, landing, etc. Two, you should be able to start at a gate in the airport instead of the runway, and also finish at a gate instead of stopping on the runway. Three, have the V/S and alt settings at the same time, so you you can select the rate of climb or desent to a certain altitude. Four, make it easier to move on the runway, five, yoy should be able to safely ditch your aircraft in water in an emergency, if you are going a certain speed certain nose pitch. And and finally, add new planes like the 737, a380, 747, 787, etc. Over all, I absolutly love this game

This is the most fun I have ever had interacting with a flight simulation program. I will concede that this software is not a fully optioned simulator; but that is also a bit of the fun. Because the simulator takes care of some of the lengthy startup steps (which can be fun too!), and places key controls at your fingertips in about 6 different well-summarized and easily accessible control panels, it achieves a very considerate mix between realism and your “imagination” - that’s called “playtime”, in my opinion - not "work time". On the other hand, I have seen programs where you get only a few control inputs: throttle, aileron, gear, and maybe flaps/slats; no - not here, not with Rortos - this program offers quite a bit more, while keeping the approach simple; you get: throttle, aileron, gear, flaps/slats, speed brake, auto pilot with speed/heading/altitude-or verticle speed, lock and unlock landing gear, cargo door, engine switch, engine starter, engine fire suppressant, fuel balance/dump, great readouts, and flexible “views”. About 99% of the controls can be accessed via a simple keyboard - you don’t have to invest in a joystick - although, using the joystick is likely even more fun/realistic because these are clearly “Airbus-based” planes (yes!!). I love Boeing, the history, the brand itself, the “City of Everett” 747; however, Airbus is pretty sexy, these days - and it speaks to my Italian/French heritage (:o) So….that’s it - enjoy, it will give you hours of enjoyment by helping your brain disconnect with the world for just a few minutes (or hours) while you “imagine” yourself landing in the warm and sunny Bahamas, the cold Alps, awesome Sydney, sexy Rome, old-world Sicily, sophisticated Paris, stately London, historic Moscow, and the list is only limited by your imagination! :)

This is a very good flight simulator with really good graphics… I have a mid-2012 macbook pro and it work great.

Love the game .. found 2 planes that can land off runway… but taking off will not happen because you cannot get enough air speed.. old glory and the cargo plane. but you must be in glide mode or at the slowest speed possible…to land off runway. now another tip dead reck is not good to use to get to one point or other… as an arce is needed to flight long distance dead reckon should be used only if visibility is very poor. but to use it you must plan far a head from your landing give yourself 15 miles to line up to the run way 0n your last mile you should only be 100 feet off the ground and 100 yard from landing the plane should be no more than 150 feet from ground by the 1/2 mark line. hope you enjoy the extra ’s i found. my next tip will be how to stretch your fuel in and condition by using altitude this comes in handy when in trouble mode enjoy. only problem the purchase part of this game is not good at all it fail 99% of the time… so i won’t buy or cannot i buy add-ons this entire purchase system is joke and real annoyance. well there loss not mine. no purchase i just walk and they loose a sale simple as that.

Horrible game. The controls don’t work as they should.

When attempting to switch views, the resolution is off and there is a large black rectangle taking up most of the view of the airplane when on most intrument views.

I loved the new update but there’s still more needed. 1. Airports. Good Job adding buildings it makes the airports a little more Airport like. But to complete this Gates, Remote Parking Stands, Ground Vehicles and other planes are still needed. Also Make the terminals look like they do in Major if not all Airports. 2. Scenery. Seeing the city around the airport with all it’s large skyscrapers, highways, monuments and buildings is one thing that makes landings fun. So add those in all major Airports. 3. Planes. The selection of planes here is good but if more were added that would be great. Some nice planes to have would be: 787-9Dreamliner, a350-900XWB, Boeing 777-200(LR) and 777-300(ER), 747-8 (or the entire 747 Family) and Freighters: 777F, 747-8F, 767F, MD-11F. Also the Concorde is supposed to have afterburner(light flames) coming out of the engines after takeoff. It isn’t supposed to have fans! and it’s also supposed to be able to cruise at an altititude of 60,000 ft at 1,155knots but when I tried cruising at that altitude I stalled so plz fix that. 4. Air Traffic Control is a vital factor in every flight. To request clearance to start, taxi, takeoff, ascend to a certain flight level. It’s also important to provide weather conditions(also add that feature on radar) tell the pilot how to descend and turn to approach the airport at a certain speed and altitude.

I really liked this game and I enjoy its almost authentic feel and its fun trying to fly from one airport to another with a badly damaged plane and still arive alive. Many of the updates I was really wanting like the enhanced HD views and the ability to have customer load and fuel levels. however, the big problem with this version is that the screen resolution is hosed big time. Shame because now I have to wait for the next update and pray they fix it.

I can’t change the controls. everytime i try to change them they just go to “left mouse” it is really FRUSTRATING
